Hope died

For many years
My only wish has been
To be with you.
I had you and I lost you
SO the dream didn't really
Become true.
Deep with in my heart
I always had hopes
That one day you would miss me
And come back.
It's been over a year now
And I haven't heard
A word from you
So I am forced to assume
That you have moved on
Without me.
I guess through time your feelings
Must have changed
And your promises
Must have been forgotten.
So today I only have
One thing to say.
I shall no longer
Lay at night
Wondering what you're doing.

Reality gave me a slap in the face
And now I know
That you don't miss me
Because if you did
You wouldn't be with her
