It is Hard

It’s hard to wake up every day
Knowing that the one person
I’ve always loved
Is with some body else.
It’s hard to accept
The fact that the past is gone
And that it won’t come back,
But what’s even harder
Is to know that you’re okay without me.
That you might miss me,
But only for a few seconds
And then forget me all over again.
It’s hard to sit here
And wonder all the time
How life would have been
If we had stayed together.
It’s so hard to forget you
Even though I am with someone else.
It’s hard to lay awake at night
Wondering what you’re doing
And questioning myself all the time
About the love I lost.
It’s hard to understand
And to go on with my life
Knowing that I will never be complete
Because whom I believe
To be my other half
Sleeps with another girl.
It’s hard to forget
All the time we spent
And how we said
We would always be together.
It’s hard not to miss you
And to want to hold you.
It’s impossible to forget you,
But it’s even harder
Because I don’t want to.
It’s hard to forget how happy I was with you,
But it’s even harder to be happy with out you.
It’s hard for my heart to understand
That he should not love you,
Want you,
Or miss you.
And what’s worst is
That every part of my body misses you.
My mind always thinks about you,
My body always desires you,
And my heart always loves you.
So what should I do?
I ask myself.
To convince you to be with me
And forget about her.
It’s hard to be with you
When you are miles away
And it’s harder to be with you
Because you are in love…
With some one else.
