Fortunately it cost nothing to dream

I dream my dear friends with an ideal world
in which we all live happy,
sharing what we have with those less fortunate;
I dream with a world of peace
which leaves behind the arms race
and that all those billions of dollars spent on weapons
be spent on medicine, education and food;
I dream with a world without illiteracy and bad nutrition,
I dream with a world in which men and women do not compete
but together they fight for their goals and share responsibilities;
I dream a world where evil be eradicated,
without injustice, envy, betrayal, corruption,
dishonesty and infidelity;
I dream that finally
the common wealth prevails in the world
and that is not only an ideal in my mind.
