I Want to be able to...

I want to be able to finish
This life that I carry
I want to be able to end
This life that I have
Every day is all the same
Problems and more problems
It seems like my Calvary never will have an end
I think that no matter what happens
I will never be happy
I want to be able to continue
But, what for?
It’s not worth going on
If little by little
My life, they are ending it
It does not matter if I have much to live
It does not matter if I have so many dreams to follow
It does not matter if I have so many illusions
Because everything is coming to an end
I always try to ignore
My problems and keep going on
I always try to forget
My bad memories and feign
To be the same person I once was
I feel threatened
I feel disconsolate
I sense that I will not be here for much longer
I feel that any one of these days
I will depart from this world
Leaving only this poem
Like proof
Of what they made out of me of
With this poem I want them
To know what a
A problem can cause
I want them to find out
That a “small” dilemma
Can finish the life
Of an adolescent that one day
Had a future
An adolescent that one day
Dreamt of being somebody
An adolescent that one day
Wanted to live.
